Wilshire Boulevard Temple is the oldest active synagogue in LA and has been home to many civic and entertainment industry leaders. The Temple was built with funding from film industry moguls such as Louis. B. Mayer, Irving Thalberg and the Warner Brothers. They donated many of the iconic features of the Temple building. In addition, the founders of Wells Fargo Bank, City of Hope, Cedars Sinai Hospital, the Los Angeles Camber of Commerce and more were all congregants.
