MyHistoricLA is a program of SurveyLA, the citywide Los Angeles Historic Resources Survey project (www.surveyla.org). MyHistoricLA is a public participation tool that allows you to contribute information about important historic resources in your community. This information is used by professional survey teams as they systematically conduct field surveys over a multi-year period. Surveys focus on resources that date before 1980, are within the city boundaries, and that are not already designated. As you answer the questions presented, think broadly about places that shaped Los Angeles and give your community its distinct character. We hope your responses will spark memories, ideas, and conversations. SurveyLA is made possible through a grant agreement between the City of Los Angeles and the J. Paul Getty Trust, with technical and advisory support from the Getty Conservation Institute. The MyHistoricLA program has been developed with funding from Certified Local Government grants administered by the California State Office of Historic Preservation. SurveyLA and MyHistoricLA are managed by the Office of Historic Resources (OHR), within the Department of City Planning. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The activity which is the subject of this website has been financed in part with Federal funds from the National Park Service, Department of the Interior, though the California Office of Historic Preservation.
